A Buchholz Human Landscape

During a six-week residency at the Kunstverein Landkunstleben in Buchholz, I am painting fifteen portraits of old and new residents of the village. For each portrait, I meet the person five to six times and paint them for about an hour each time in their garden or the association’s garden. Everyone brings a personal object or a photo, which I integrate into the portrait.
