At the Landkunstleben art association in Buchholz, I painted the series of paintings “A Buchholz Human Landscape.” The pictures show portraits of old and new residents of the village. They connect the people with their personal stories about Buchholz. In times of division and polarization, the images create a connection between people. For this, I met each person five to six times. I painted them for an hour in the association or in their garden. Everyone brought a personal object or a photo with them. I painted this object into the portrait with glazing layers of color.
